The Evolution of Entrepreneur

Entrepreneur are someone who exercises initiative by organizing a venture to take benefit of an opportunity, as the decision maker, decides what, how, and how much of a good or service will be produced. We can study the evolution of entrepreneur by looking the field of entrepreneurship has changed throughout history. According to the entrepreneurship history, we can clearly understanding how of the evolution of entrepreneurship by starting from renaissance tradesmen to future entrepreneurs.

First of all, in the era of renaissance tradesmen, about 75% of occupations in the middle ages were provided by merchants, craftsman and other jobs. The remain of 25% are agriculture. The marketplace became a central focus and important places to developed commerce activity. 

Second, colonial expansion was speed up the progress of the evolution of entrepreneur. In that time, merchants build trading posts to provide supplies to shipping crews. Ship building advancement increased international trade between nations. First global companies also started in that time which is The Dutch East India Company. We can say that the activity of entrepreneur has been growing up rapidly.

Thirdly, industrial revolution show that the era of heavy industry and using of technology to produced product. Most entrepreneurs would invent something, sell it and move onto the next invention. Entrepreneurs increases scale manufacturing to reduce costs and increase productivity. Entrepreneurs of the industrial revolution was transformed 19^th century commerce and industry.

20^th Century is the fourth evolution, it is a new era for using mass media in commerce. Entrepreneurs were started to use mass media advertising promote their product. They can sell products nationally with television, radio and newspaper. A huge amount of money was spent to do advertising by big company. Entrepreneurs can expand their business in a faster and effective way.

Lastly, now we walk into information age which is an information booming century. Internet and computer was changed people everyday life. Internet connects most of the people around the world and allow entrepreneur doing business with other company in different places. Online selling was made a lot of millionaire and provide many business to entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs can compete with big business easily by using internet connectivity. 

Modern technology and the internet have improved the ways we running business. Most of the business is just done by a click of a button. From the evolution of entrepreneur we can see that the method of running a business is more easily and challenging, the information is very important in running a big business and become a successful entrepreneur.
